Probably most of you are thinking to yourself that since in Poland:
it is an industry fully regulated by our government.
That's right they don't! 🚫
Poland is one of two countries in the European Union that, despite the entry into force of regulations under the Market in Crypto Assets (MiCA) Act:
❗ has not passed a relevant law regulating virtual currencies.
In the latest episode of "Heard Under Bitcoin ATM, " I talk about how this fact negatively affects the cryptocurrency industry on the Vistula.
In our country, about 18.4% of the population already uses digital assets. What's more:
🛡️ Poland's largest insurer, PZU, will launch a bitcoin fund this August!
But paradoxically...
❗ The provision of crypto services is still unregulated.
Polish entrepreneurs are losing out on the lack of regulations - they can't get the required MiCA license, for example.
Even worse is that:
😡 We have a "Wild West." - institutions like the FSC can without much trouble stop the operation of a company, citing suspicion of a crime.
It's not that Poland isn't doing anything....
📜 The bill exists, it lies "on the table", but.... has not passed through the Parliament.
Worse:
❗ Its records inspire horror among many cryptocurrencies - they contain points that make hair stand on end.
Unfortunately, the lack of regulation is also an argument for institutions such as the Ministry of Digitization, which:
😈 They demonize cryptocurrencies and portray them as "untrustworthy."
I talk about all this in detail in the latest episode 😉🎙️
